Role Profile
The role of an Improvement Technician includes working as a member of an operational team, initiating and providing improvement methods and working them through to resolutions. This qualification will provide expertise and improvement tools, giving you the opportunity to analyse and improve the performance of your team.
What you will learn:
Team formation and leadership, project selection and scope.
Project management and compliance
Change Management, principles and methods
Process mapping and analysis, data acquisition for analysis, basic stats and measures.
Process capability and performance
Problem definition, root cause analysis, experimentation, identification and prioritization.
Sustainability and control
End-point assessment – What is this?
Once an apprentice has completed their apprenticeship, they will be ‘signed off’ by their employer/ provider as ready for end-point assessment of their knowledge and practical capabilities. In most cases, the assessment will be graded and must show the apprentice is fully competent and productive in the occupation. This is conducted by an external independent body.
End Point Assessment consists of:
Multiple choice test
Project report; presentation and questioning
Professional discussion
