Hair Apprenticeships with Academy at No.5
Academy at No.5 are based in Fareham's lively town centre, and the team are specialists in delivering qualifications in Hairdressing and Barbering. Excellence is the minimum standard. Operating on a day release basis, NVQ's are provided at Levels 2 and 3, and can be delivered as the vocational element of an Apprenticeship or as a stand-alone NVQ, depending on individual circumstances.
Who are they for?
Government funded Apprenticeships in Hairdressing and Barbering are suited to candidates aged 16+ who are employed in a commercial salon or barbershop and are looking to begin or enhance their career on a work-based learning programme.
What is involved?
Apprenticeship include Functional Skills in Maths and English at Levels 1 or 2. Functional Skills are delivered in both group and one-to-one settings, depending on learning style and all sessions are tailored to meet personal needs. Stand alone NVQ's are suited to candidates who do not wish to, or are unable to do an Apprenticeship and these are available at competitive rates for self-funding. Fast track options are often available and length of programme is discussed and agreed by all parties before training starts. All training programmes are delivered above and beyond the national standards and qualification achievers leave the academy with real life and industry skills and excellent opportunities for progression.
