This apprenticeship is designed to be practical, engaging and enjoyable, giving learners the opportunity to develop skills that can be applied straight away in their role, rather than simply learning the theory. We believe Teaching Assistants play such an important role in helping children feel safe, build confidence, overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. This apprenticeship builds on the experience learners already have, helping develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours to become an even more confident and effective Teaching Assistants.
– Lisa Elsey, Fareport Trainer
Throughout the apprenticeship, learners will explore a wide range of topics including child development, safeguarding, communication, behaviour management, supporting pupils with SEND, assessment for learning, promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, and working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals. Apprentices will learn how to contribute to lesson planning, support literacy and numeracy development, encourage independent learning behaviours, and create safe, stimulating learning environments that help pupils thrive academically and personally.
This is much more than gaining a qualification. It’s an opportunity for learners to grow professionally, challenge themselves, build confidence, and recognise the difference they make every single day!
There will be times when balancing work, study and everyday life feels challenging, but remember, your team member won’t be doing it alone. We are here to support every step of the way, celebrate successes, help learners overcome any barriers and keep them on track towards completing the apprenticeship.
We want to see learners thrive and excel in their roles!
