Funding at a glance

The Department for Education is committed to keeping Skills Bootcamps accessible to as many people as possible. Here’s how the funding works:

Unemployed individuals, freelancers & sole traders in Surrey: 100% funding by the DfE through Surrey County Council
Small & medium businesses in Surrey (under 250 employees): Employer contributes 10%, with the remainder covered by the DfE
Large businesses in Surrey (250+ employees): Employer contribution of 30%, with the DfE covering the rest

Please note: learners may enrol in one fully funded Skills Bootcamp per year (April 1st – March 31st).

Are you eligible for a FREE Surrey Skills Bootcamp?

You could qualify for full funding if you:

Live in Surrey
Are aged 19 or over (as of 31 August 2025)
Have the right to work in the UK
Have lived in the UK for at least 3 years
Are unemployed, self-employed, or a business owner with no staff
