This qualification is a great opportunity to build your team member’s knowledge and confidence across the whole procurement cycle while they also study towards the internationally recognised CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) Level 3 Certificate.
“I really enjoy delivering this programme because I’m genuinely passionate about procurement and the difference it can make. Over the years, I’ve worked with organisations across both the public and private sectors, and I’ve seen how good procurement can transform processes, improve relationships and deliver real business benefits. What I enjoy most is helping learners recognise the impact they can have in their own roles. It’s always rewarding when someone starts the programme seeing themselves as an administrator or support function and finishes it understanding the strategic value they bring to their organisation. This programme is often full of those lightbulb moments, and being part of that development journey is what makes it so enjoyable for me.”
One aspect of the programme I particularly enjoy is supporting learners with improvement projects. Learners are encouraged to get involved in projects within their organisation and, as part of their apprenticeship journey, they’ll develop and present their own improvement project as part of their End-Point Assessment. This is often where learners really start to see the impact they can have in their role. I enjoy helping learners shape their ideas, identify opportunities for improvement and build confidence in presenting their recommendations. It also gives me the opportunity to share knowledge and experiences drawn from a wide range of public and private sector organisations, bringing real examples of successful procurement improvements to life.”
We offer both Level 3 and Level 4 Apprenticeships with embedded qualifications from The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS), formerly the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply. CIPS is a global professional body working for the procurement and supply profession in many regions of the world.
Procurement is essential for any business because it involves sourcing and purchasing goods and services that the company needs to operate. Effective procurement ensures that organisations get the best value for money, maintain smooth operations, and can deliver quality products or services to their customers. Professionals in procurement play a direct role in managing a company’s expenses by negotiating better deals, optimising supply chains, and finding cost-effective suppliers. This helps in saving money, improving profitability, and maintaining competitiveness. Procurement is no longer just about buying goods and services. It has become a strategic function that directly impacts an organisation’s overall performance. A well-run procurement function can improve supply chain resilience, enhance innovation, and support long-term organisational goals. Studying procurement can open doors to diverse career opportunities, develop valuable business skills, and make you a key player in helping organisations optimise resources and achieve their goals.
Additional fees – please note these cannot be paid from Levy funds. A valid membership is required for learners to submit assignments and sit exams. Latest prices as July 2026, please visit CIPS Membership for full details. Information on study guides are also available.

The most rewarding part of the programme for me is seeing learners grow in confidence and begin to think more commercially and strategically about the role they play within their organisation. If your team member is looking to develop valuable, transferable skills and establish a strong foundation for a successful career in procurement and supply, I’d be delighted to support you on that journey.”
