Rashida's Journey - Lead Adult Care Level 3 Apprenticeship

Completing this diploma was both challenging and deeply rewarding. When I first started, I felt anxious and was also managing personal traumas. Balancing work and study was not easy, but I am incredibly grateful for the support I received throughout this journey.

This diploma helped me gain valuable skills and build my confidence. It reminded me why I chose this career and how much I love making a positive impact in people’s lives. During the course, I progressed from Support Worker to Senior Support Worker, working closely with my manager and collaborating with professionals such as social workers, the LD team, safeguarding team, mental health team and housing specialists.
I am proud of what I have achieved and excited to continue growing in a role that truly makes a difference.

A special thank you to my trainer, Rosie, who guided me from start to finish. She recognized both my strengths and weaknesses and showed patience and encouragement every step of the way. Rosie reminded me never to give up, even when things felt overwhelming. Her mentorship, along with practical support such as one-to-one maths sessions, Teams meetings, extra time for mocks and exams, made a huge difference in my success.
