James Ford

Introducing James:

James joined Fareport in March 2025 and is responsible for developing strong partnerships with businesses, commissioners, and stakeholders to support the organisation’s strategic growth. As a board member, he collaborates with the leadership team to implement long-term, sustainable initiatives that enhance Fareport’s impact in the education and skills sector.

With extensive experience in delivering education and skills programmes across the private, public, and third sectors, James has successfully led initiatives for global corporations, SMEs, self-employed professionals, and unemployed learners. Before transitioning into workforce development, he was a professional footballer with AFC Bournemouth and later ran his own health and fitness business.
