Understanding Skills Bootcamp funding
Thinking about registering a team member for one of our programmes? Here’s how the funding model works:
For small & medium sized Leicestershire businesses (Under 250 employees):
Only 10% of the training cost is paid by the employer
The remaining 90% is covered by Department for Education funding
For large Leicestershire employers (250+ Employees):
You’ll contribute 30% of the training fee
70% is funded by the Department for Education
Note: An individual can only attend one funded Skills Bootcamp per financial year (April 1 to March 31).
Who’s eligible for a funded Skills Bootcamp in Leicestershire?
To access a funded place, employees must meet the following criteria:
Location: Must reside in the Leicestershire county
Age: Must be 19 or older as of 31st August 2025
Right to Work: Must be legally eligible to work in the UK
Residency: Must have lived in the UK continuously for the past three years
Business Size: For SMEs to receive 90% funding, the company must have fewer than 250 employees
