“Thank you so much for providing us with such a professional, relevant and enjoyable bootcamp, 10/10 for being on-point , and it has delivered me with exactly what I need to consider changing careers to become a Teaching Assistant”.

Thank you so much Lisa . It was lovely working with you and the other students. Good Luck everyone.

I’ve just completed the Teaching Assistant Skills Boot Camp, and I absolutely enjoyed this experience. What I loved most about the course was how well-structured and engaging it was. The materials were clear, with excellent examples, videos, activities, and group interactions that made learning enjoyable and easy to follow“.

What truly made the course a success was our teacher. She was professional, positive, kind, attentive, and incredibly supportive. Despite everyone coming from different backgrounds, she created a warm and welcoming atmosphere where we all felt valued and encouraged. I’m very thankful for her guidance and the positive environment she built, which made a huge difference to my learning experience“.

During this course, I surprised myself by how well I handled studying after a long break. Initially, the new material, complex concepts, abbreviations and unfamiliar terms felt overwhelming, but I quickly realised I could manage the workload and even enjoy the process. Returning to study as a stay-at-home parent was intimidating, yet engaging with the course material and working closely with the team boosted my confidence, teamwork, and communication skills. Collaborating, sharing ideas, and using technology such as Microsoft Teams and Google Classroom gave me practical experience I had not had before. The course also tested my personal qualities, particularly empathy, as I learned about children facing serious difficulties. This has helped me understand how to adapt to challenging situations and support children effectively, skills that will be essential in my future role“.

The most important skill I’ve developed during this programme is understanding the full picture of what it means to be a successful teaching assistant. The course provided a clear overview of key topics and practical tools to improve my knowledge in each area. I’ve learned how to navigate large amounts of information, identify what’s most relevant, and apply it effectively in real classroom situations, which has helped me feel more confident, organised, and prepared to support both teachers and students“.
