We recently held the first session of our brand-new HTQ Level 4 Diploma: Data Analyst course, and we’re thrilled to share how it went! Designed to equip learners with the knowledge and skills to thrive in data-driven roles, it is already clear to the learners how this programme will make a difference in the professional lives.

Here’s a look at what happened during our first session, what our learners had to say, and why the HTQ Data Analyst course could be the perfect fit for you.

The focus of Module 1: Data Fundamentals and Lifecycle

he initial session, Data Fundamentals and Lifecycle, introduced key concepts in understanding, managing, and utilising data effectively. It covers key statistical techniques such as descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, and correlation analysis. Learners explored the data lifecycle, including collection, processing, storage, and analysis, with a focus on applying these principles in real-world scenarios.

Our expert trainer Simon provided a structured and interactive learning environment, ensuring that participants could relate the theory to their professional contexts.

What our learners had to say

The feedback from our attendees has been overwhelmingly positive, reflecting the immediate value they’ve gained from the course:

Hannah : "Really helped with understanding data and how I can use it effectively in my current role."

Joanna : "It is well structured and guided in a way that it supports my learning."

Zoe : "I have picked up several areas that we need to get better with the data lifecycle. The whole day has supported my professional development as I feel that I am a complete novice, and this will support me to no end."

Key takeaways from the session

Our learners left the first session with:

Enhanced confidence in working with data: Even those new to the subject felt empowered to tackle data challenges in their roles.
A deeper understanding of the data lifecycle: Insights into how data flows and is used across organisations, helping learners identify areas for improvement.
Practical strategies for visualisation and analysis: Techniques they could apply immediately in their jobs to support better decision-making.

What's next?
