Fareport retains 'Investors in People' accreditation 
Fareport takes great pride in the support it offers all staff, employers and learners who work with us and therefore we are very proud that we have kept our Investors in People standard following our assessment day on the 12th of January. 
Fareport Wins 'Workforce Investment 2011' Award 
Fareport Training is delighted to announce that we scooped top place in our category at this years Gosport Business Celebration.  
At the glittering presentation evening, held at the Royal Submarine Museum in Gosport on November the 30th, we were presented with the 'Workforce Investment Award' for our commitment to staff development and training and in recognition of our Ofsted Grade 1 Outstanding quality mark. 
The event is made possible by the support and involvement of local businesses, Gosport Borough Council and business support agencies. 
Hosted by local radio station Wave 105's Steve Power, a charity raffle also took place to raise money for their 'Cash For Kids' appeal and the Mayor of Gosport's Charities for 2011.

Fareport trainee wins Gosport College ‘Learner of the Year’  
 
Gosport College has hosted its first ever awards ceremony, to celebrate the achievements of its students in this academic year. 
 
The event was held at the Gosport College Skills Centre, at Fareham Reach, which opened in September. The Mayor of Gosport Councillor Christopher Carter and local  
MP Caroline Dinenage were there to hand out the winners certificates. 
 
Cheryl Brewer, who won the Health & Social Care learner of the Year Award, said: 
‘I was a bit shocked to find out I’d been awarded.’ Cheryl progressed from Fareport’s Foundation Learning programme onto Gosport College. She said: ‘I’d like to work in a care home in the future and I’m on placement at Merlin Park Care Home where I go twice a week to gain work experience.’ 
 
The Gosport College Health & Social Care course is taught at the Fareport Training Centre in Gosport High Street. 
 
Cheryl was on of thirteen students honoured and Ms Dinenage told them: ‘You are an incredible example of what you can achieve and are incredibly well-trained. You are a real asset to the area and great ambassadors.’
